just checked the radar.
The storms east of us are heading your way and they are sucking the heat out of here and into the cells.
Be careful.

Yep- I saw the clouds and just came into check the radar..I talked to a fellow south of Hinsdale- and he said they were getting rain- and some wind....
Isn't here yet- but I hope its got inchs of rain- and brings the cool front in... Temp right now is 101

We are a little cooler at 93.
Looks like the worst might just miss you, but there is more on the way.
Hope there are no white rocks in these storms.

On a different note. The Billingsly's god son is now working as a deputy in my county. met him yesterday on a fire. Nice guy.

Ended up with some wind- lots of lightning and thunder- not enough rain to get the ground wet- but at least its cooling down here...72 at 9:30PM...

I know of one lightning caused fire in a pasture just a couple of miles out of town....Some probably won't be found til later or tomorrow...

It all went east of us. It has cooled some what, but the clouds are keeping it pretty warm though.
Wish we both had gotten some rain.
Hope they got that fire out, I hate fighting fires in thunder storms. Always worried about getting a "shock" out there. :D

Got 2 tenths out of that one. Pretty narrow path only about 3 miles wide.
It got up to 96 degrees today. The peas are almost in full bloom. Heat is not what we need at this point. Have a total of 1.95" since the first of May. Pastures and dryland hay have sure taken a turn for the worst in the last week or so.

Interesting storm...The Doppler radar was showing it was raining out- but it was so hot none was hitting the ground...If you walked out in it you could feel the drops- but it is so dry they never even showed on the ground...

At least today is much cooler-- 73 now at 1:30 PM....
