Ok, All you heeler lovers. I am planning to get me a heeler pup this spring and I think the whole idea that cropping their tails makes them less prone to injury is load of hogwash, but I wanted to get y'alls opinions?? Anybody actually seen a heeler injure himself because he never had his tail cropped?

We have had lots of female heelers that were working dogs in some tough country and never had a problem. As a breed, they carry their tail lower.
However, we have had Heeler crosses that their tails were docked. I like a bob-tailed dog,
especially one that is natural bob-tailed. But that's just me. If you are going to get a tail docked,
do it as early as possible.

Thanks for the info. Personally Im of the opinion that if the creature was made a certain way and it ain't no problem why change it? My one exception might be ear piercing for women. I do have mine pierced(once).
