I have een pretty busy and then about last Wednesday I started having headaches. At first, I would take some Ibuproohen and it would go away. About last Friday, the 4 Ibuprophen stopped having any affect. Was that way through the weekend. It was at the base of my skull on the left side. I don't get headaches so I went to the Doctor on Monday.

He said it was work/stress related and gave me about 5 pills includung an antibiotic and allergy pill. It was a first for me to hear a doctor say, but he suggested I go to my Chiropractor....It was also a first for me to hear a chiropractor say stay on those pills as the muscle relaxers will help me adjust you. She worked on me and said, "Come back tommorrow."

Today is the first headache free day I have had since a week ago Wednesday. But I feel a little rummy from the pills.

Anyway, people have pulled together and helped me out. It's funny though, sometimes you wonder, "Why can't folks handle it themselves." But when they do, you worry that you are pretty expendable, LOL

The grass is on the come around here, that is always a good thing,

Hope all is well with everyone else,

PPRM

Good to hear your on the mend.

A chiropracter figured out I was allergic to coffee. They can do a lot, but there are some who ain't as good as other too. We have a neighbor who does this for horses and his wife massages people. It's a wonder how much better a good massage can make you feel. Anybody who hasn't had one, doesn't know what they are missing. Check it out.

Amen!! Everytime cowboyup "throws" his back out (and, therefore is unable to move his left arms), I send him to Jackie..the massage therapist in town!!She knows his history and works on him for about an hour and the difference is simply amazing!!

Sure hope you are on the mend, PPRM!! If the headaches come back, do NOT hesitate in seeing the doc again and nagging him/her til you get some results!! Best of luck!! :D

For some reason, I've always been a bit "suspicious" of those Massage Parlors in big cities. Maybe they're actually on the up and up, even though the entrance is usually below ground level. Maybe my suspicions are groundless. :? :???:

Last fall after my bones were almost healed,I had a bone pokeing out on my lower back and could hardly walk.I went to the chiropractor. They used an ultrasound machine to work the muscles before the adjustment.I'm telling you that was so relaxing I almost fell asleep. They cracked my back that bone that was protrudeing went back in place and I could walk without the limp.Which I thought was permanent.

Glad your feeling better.Makes you feel pretty humble when everyone jumps in and helps out.It made me wonder If I really deservered all the help.I make it a point now to help everyone who needs it.I owe alot of people and won't soon forget it.

Denny, we lived neighbors to a wonderful old couple in W. Montana. We had some unfortunate experiences while we were there; flood, tornado, etc. He was always there to help out. I said to him once, "how are we ever going to repay you?"

As he looked at me with his keen blue eyes he said, "Just pass it on."

That remark meant a lot to me and that is exactly what you are doing. I think it is what we are meant to do as a society.

Tragedy and unfortunate events remind us of how much we need others
and to be there when they need us.

You said it FH.

Living along a hiway has given me lots of opportunities to be a "good neighbor".

I could tell lots of stories about the interesting people that have needed help. One slept in our living room once when the car broke down at -20 degrees during the middle of the night.

BUT, I have been lucky about good people helping me back when I needed it, so I figured it evens out.

My wife and I went to town last week to mail some bills. We stopped and got gas as my wife was in the store an older farmer was in there looking for a jump start. She told them we could so I pulled her car over there open the hood and no battery (she drive's a cadillac) turns out the battery is under the rear seat.I told the fellow I would run home and get my pickup which I did.He was worried that it may be his alternater after we had it running I pulled the battery cable off the truck. It stayed running so thats a sign that the alternator was still working. But his terminals were coroded.I cleaned them and put some grease on them. The man pulls out $50 and hands it to me which I declined he said you cant do all that for nothing I said I did'nt I'm just paying off old debts.Of course when I got home I told my wife boy that was an EASY $50 she said YOU BETTER NOT HAVE.I knew I would get her excited My wife is a true saint she will bend over backwards to help anyone.Lord knows I need lot's of help...

I never had time (or the nerve) to check any of them out either. But there are several ladies around this part of ther country who have spent quite a bit of time going to a school in Rapid City and they all seem to be on the up and up. The wives all started going and told the husbands how good it made them feel, so we tried it.

My neighbor and his wife also have a hot tub, so I can go soak in the tub before or after if I choose.

The husband who does massage on horses, makes quite a few trips to the Hills to work on horses and I've seen some real remakable turn arounds on a couple of my own horses. It's the real deal, and if he can't help one, he'll tell you so.

Someday I'm going to be in one of them cities and check out one of them parlors and I'll let you know if it's the real deal or not, Soapweed.

When I was younger my horse got so he was always very jumpy in the morning not bucking but almost. Finally I was told if that horse doesn't cut it out he's gonna be glue. So being a girl i cried my eyes out cause i was all attached to him. So in a last ditch effort to save him we took him to a horse chiriopractor. It made all the difference in the world. He quit acting up and the chiropractor showed me how to stretch his legs and do some things to help his withers stay in place. I would highly recommend one to anyone with a horse that acts up. The funny thing was the guy would work on horses and people to all in the barn.

PPRM it's good to see you back!

I had terrible headaches awhile back and went to a chiropractor and something in my neck was out and causing them a pop and they were not as frequent and not as strong.

It was kinda strange to have the Doctor suggest I go to the Chiropractor and for the Chiropractor to suggest I double up on the dosages the Doctor said I could so she could more easily adjust me. Since the Adjustment that was effective, my headaches have disappeared. I think a massage might be in order...

Thanks for the good wishes everyone,

PPRM
