Listened to your game as well today in the tractor on 880. Sounded like good game. I really like listening to the main commentator but am I the only one that gets tired of the younger guy in the booth. I think his name is Matt? He reminds me of lyn Dawson for the chiefs. When it's going good he's ok. When it's not going good for his team he's b!tchen constantly. From everything about the booth they were in being to small and not having a tv to see replays to a holding penalty not being called on pen state when nu got an interception. Like I said didn't see any on tv so maybe his whining is legit. But I dought all day it was.

Matt Davidson, a huge a-hole , typical homer commentator. his ONLY claim to fame is he illegally kicked a ball into the air and it was caught so NU could slip by Missouri and continue on, undefeated, to win a national title... the guy is a classless, arrogant prick.

the main guy, Greg Sharp, is a real good guy.... did KSU for many years, then the criminal Larry Steckline bought out the broadcast, and he got screwed out of a job..... everynow and then, I call into the Husker talkshow, and I always tell Greg, we miss him at KSU...

Imagine that, Jigs is the first one to respond to "Hey husker fans"

Football is going the wrong way. You cant make a good hit or even play to the end of the whistle without a chance of getting a unnecessary roughness or personal foul defenseless player penalty. I have watched many games where the quarterback is running towards the sidelines and gets an extra yard or first down because if the defender hits him it would be a penalty and now a suspension in some cases

Matt was part of the end of huskers great era. I think he is just as frustrated as the the rest of us that grew up in that era. He did more than just make one catch but that one put him on the map. He was a walk on from Nebraska. I am happy he is one of our announcers. He tells it how it is, cut and dry. I do agree he complains to much and is a bit radical, but that's what makes him a commentator. Yes he complained about the small booth but also stated at the same time that once inside the stadium it is a nice venue. Husker Radio commentators make it feel as if you are at the game with them. With 6 hours of pregame and then the game, and 4 hours of post game I would hate to imagine what i would be saying on the radio at the end of a the day.

For all I care Greg Sharp could go back to the armpit of the world. I'm still pi$$ed that they booted Kent Pavelka from the football broadcasts. He was Lyle Bremser's heir, and did a dandy job. Matt Davisson can give perspective from someone intimately familiar with the program and tradition. I'm also glad to see BTN is using Eric Crouch more and more.

Jigs can profess all the hatred he wants towards the Huskers....but he seems to forget he's a Husker by birth. All his protests and rants can't change that natural fact.

I thought Pavelka walked away, along with the guy from the 71 team, name slips my mind right now.....

Davidson, is a pathetic homer. if KSU had a color man like that, I would have the same opinion..... it is about as bad as hearing Lou Holtz on tv discussing Notre Lame

I'm pretty sure Kent still does men's basketball on the Husker radio network.
Adrian Fiala is still doing the TV thing on our ETV network. So they aren't gone from the Husker family, they are just doing different things. Jim Rose was the guy they never should have hired. He makes Matt Davisson seem like Gifford, Cosell, and Dandy Don Meredith all rolled up in one.

Pavelka and Davidson do the Husker mens' BB games.

Jiggsy, of course Davidson is a homer, he's on the home-school broadcast team, not ESPN. And BTW, he wasn't the one that kicked the ball, he was the one that caught it.

I stand corrected...but he is still a dousche bag

You guys are full of crap if you say you enjoy listening to him. Every football team has a former player as color commentator that is a homer. I listened to parts of 4 college games on saterday and you can't tell me that the pen state nebraska game was the only one with bad calls. It happens get over it and move on. He made it sound like they were making bad calls on purpous. I am a huge kc chiefs fan and I think Mitch houltus is awesome to listen to. But last year when the chiefs only won two games Lynn Dawson made it unbearable to listen to a whole game because he bitched the whole time. That's the first nebraska game I have listened to in a while but if that's how he is every game don't tell me you love his message.

Bad calls do happen....it's a fact of life. However, I think it's pretty safe to say that for whatever the reason, Nebraska has been forced to endure more than its fair share of bad calls this season.

I wonder if some of these B1G refs got their start refereeing pro rasslin'? Lord knows they are blind enough to have worked the squared circle.
