Not sure what they were thinking when they decided on that city, but carry, carry, carry. And if there was ever a place for spare mags, that's it. Reciprocity is fairly straightforward in that as long as your state recognizes theirs, they will recognize yours. Even if a place is posted, unless they've got a metal detector, I would personally stay concealed well and ignore the signs.
As long as you stay close to the hotels and stay with big groups, you should be okay. But, don't wander down any side streets and be extra wary after dark. In fact, it's a good idea to be back to the hotel district by dark.
You can have a lot of fun, but you have to be on top of your game and use your head. Situational awareness is paramount. I'm not trying to be an alarmist, but I can promise all of you guys going that there are a lot of natives down there that are much more excited about your visit than you are.
