I thought it was a neat story FH... I just don't post much on the horse section because, well, I might resemble one of those folks mentioned in the other post up top here about people shopping for horses :shock:
 
Ah come on and post it again Faster Horses. I didnt see it when you posted it before. Was to wrapped up in the political threads :(
 
I read it, and it was great, but I just didn't really know what to say...

I hate to post a "great post" or "wow that's neat all the time" so I just enjoyed the story and thought it was great your friend was on his way with the training.

Sorry it caused some chaffing. :wink:

I need to ask how old are you Faster Horses?
You sound like one of my kids who wants a "good job" for something that is expected of them.
I see posts that have no response and they are not removed.
Well if your feelings were hurt then you need to remember that this is a message board not your personal cheering section.
Maybe if you start being a bit more nice and encouraging to others instead of telling them to leave. You might find you dont need the pats on the back all the time.
Sorry if this causes more hurt feelings but sometimes the truth hurts.

Faster Horses I know how you felt.
I mostly dont read the horse threads for two reasons.
#1 When I come on here, usually im just having a coffee and smoke between colts that im riding. Its nice to think about other things than work.
#2 Whats the point? If a fellow does try to help someone on here it seems like they either dont understand what you are talking about or they dont agree with you because they think there life experiences has taught them everything there is to know about horsemanship.
Or my favorites was that newbie a while back who was new to horses. Her experienced horsemen husband was trying to teach her to ride. She was convinced her husband was wrong about what he was teaching her so she came on here looking for people to agree with her so she could show it to her husband. She wasnt interested in the truth. Just wanted ammo to use against her poor husband that was trying to help her.
Maybe im just cynical but it would seem to me that if somebody comes on here asking for for "Free" advice that the least the could do is offer a thanks to the people who are good enough to take the time to help them out. Even if they dont agree with the advice!

Too much is being made of this. If you look back, I said I got
over it. Then I said I was too hasty in deleting it.

It had nothing to do with me/us directly. It was a mention in a column about a close friend of ours who is a great horseman and is finally being
recognized as such in the horse world. I was just proud to know him
and for us to have been part of his life.

When I find the another publication with the article in it, I will repost it.
I sent it to the person that it was written about, so I don't have it anymore.

TXTIBBS: Your pants were missing? I KNEW IT!! You said your shirt was

Easty has NEVER used any name other than her own. If she has something to say to you she will say it to you under her name.
geee faster you can get isp addys???hmmmm then you will KNOW that alot of people have the same addy due to the same isp. I also know some people know how to hide thier true addys.
FYI~ we (Pamela,Dawana,Billy, & Kaitlyn) were all sitting around watching a movie trying to get our minds off her dog being shot the day before. I was also trying to get ready to leave which I had put off going home.

The funny thing is what TxMom said is true. You do come across harsh unless its one of your buddies. You have told a few to leave and wish they would never come back. Sorry, I myself took what you did as having a temper tamtrum.

And as far as ISP's go..I belong to SBC so hmm how many do you think on here are AT&T, SBC, or Southern Bell?? ok ok..see we all have the same ISP!!! Actually what your all saying about an ISP I don't believe is true. It is my knowledge that each individual computer has its own unique ISP.....it may change every time you log in if you have dial up but if your connected with a cable modem it will stay until it disconnects and reconnects or you reset it. That is how net meeting works you can share your desk top and computer with other people but you have to know what ISP number to call. If everyone had the same ISP number then netmeeting wouldn't work nor exist!

I have no doubt that Faster Horses can track ISP numbers....it's not hard....a half drunken monkey on crack could prolly figure it out if he so desired.

And it may have sounded that I was getting after Faster Horses but It was all in good fun and a joke, which she knows. Its an inside joke we just give each other a hard time. I in no way meant for my words to be used as ammunition against Faster Horses from other users.

But as someone said....I believe it was Faster Horses....this thread has gotten out of hand just like so many do...
