Ranchy, we don't fry it with bacon, I've never had okra fried or boiled either one with bacon in it. LOL Bacon is fer greens   Course we do season our green beans with bacon. Southerners use bacon to season lots of stuff. And you'll find in just about any southern kitchen, smack dab in the middle of the stove, there's a lil pot or jar with a lid, called a bacon grease pot. It's used to save left over bacon grease for usin in other stuff for seasonin when your cookin.
