Tiddly-Winks and Parcheesi teams at Lincoln also vow to bring Nebraska back to national prominence.

You've forgotten Women's basketball, gymnastics, and baseball. We have the nation's premiere volleyball facility, while other programs play in virtual dumps. Visiting teams are dumbfounded when they come and see what we call home. The Devaney Center holds 8,000 and is continuously sold out. Football picks up the tab for all other sports on campus. Our new basketball arena and baseball stadium are top notch state of the art as well, along with the recent expansion of Memorial Stadium. My guess is we've got the best group of facilities as a whole in the B1G, if not the nation. At Nebraska, we strive for excellence in all endeavors... academic, athletic, and in research. One dimensional we are not.

Congrats to Bama on the Heisman win. FWIW, tOSU has the most Heisman winners at 7. What conference do they belong to? Oh, yeah...the B1G.

Sour grapes from a girlfriend written back in May, before a Riley coached Nebraska ever took the field in a real game. Of course, this has NEVER happened anyplace else...uhhh...right?

I personally know a kid who walked on as a freshman. Started in all the Frosh Football games. Did exceedingly well by all accounts. Nobody worked harder on the field, weight room, or classroom. Nobody. TO called him into his office that December and gave him his walking papers...only saying he'd, and I quote, "Never be big enough, strong enough, or fast enough to play for Nebraska". He was 6'4" and weighed 250-260. The kid transferred to a Division II school and started the next three years and had a tremendous football career while at the new school. Was on full scholarship after his first season there. He told me with his own mouth that getting cut by TO was the best thing that ever happened to him. He later had a career as a pilot in the Air Force and then as a commercial pilot for Delta.

I know this because he graduated HS a year ahead of me and worked summers for my Dad while he was in college.

Try again.

Lewis was disciplined for his actions. He's not only a kid, he's an idiot.

What's your boy Muschamps excuse? Or the dimwit who just fell out a four story window while partaking of the chronic?

Keep trying.

I might also suggest that before you link to an article that you take the time to read the comments before you click on anything. The responses just blew any scintilla of a point you were vainly trying to make. Just sayin'.

Husker vb plays Kansas on Thursday - I think it's quarter finals. Alicia ostrander is the heat for huskers and a great kid from Gordon. I'm a Husker for Thursday, but I feel all dirty.

Braska advances - to play Texas in the championship game. Volleyball at this level is way cool. Team cooperation, and officiating doesn't determine very much in the game. These girls are athletes.

As much butthurt as Mike and Jigs exhibit towards Nebraska, they either need to see a proctologist or get a room.

Jigs' remarks might carry a little weight if he would man up and pay his football bets off. Must be a Tater thing.

This argument is ongoing on the Jayhawks board. 2 of the 4 top 10 wins NU had were Kansas and Kansas st. Knelio is a tater

That NU team would of gotten eaten alive by the 2001 Hurricanes, the 2004 thru 2006 SC teams, and most of Saban's NC squads.
The teams I listed above had elite offensive talent and just as strong interior muscle in the trenches as NU did. Also, Pete Carroll and Nick Saban would of out coached the hell out of Osborne.

Jayhawks response
That NU team faced a 12-0 Florida team at the height of the Fun-N-Gun era - with 3 NFL wideouts and a backfield so deep that Fred Taylor was the 3rd string running back. Danny Wuerffel won the Heisman at QB. They were super fast on defense and might have actually been Spurrier's best team at Florida (they rolled the regular season, basically blowing out everyone).

And '95 NU beat them 62-24(!). And somehow that score actually makes it look closer than it was. That team wasn't just loaded with talent, they were naaaaaaaaaaasty and just beat the ever living hell out of people.

Where Nebraska is concerned, "Tater" is not so secret code for "Hater".

The 94 & 95 teams were extraordinarily special. The 93 team was right there as well. The 97 team was just half a tick behind the 94 & 95 team, and Meatchicken didn't want any part of them. I'm sure Peyton Manning would just as soon forget how we handed his backside to him. Totally ineffective.

I remember Warren Sapp sucking oxygen on the sidelines in the 3rd quarter on his HOME FIELD. Totally owned.

I can remember our offense telling the defenders during different games what the next play was & who was going to get the ball. It didn't matter. Those big mean boys were on a mission, and nobody was going to stop them.

97 team got a sympathy title. Osborne announced his retirement to spark the team and get the coaches votes for a title....

Pretty funny that the Hucksters are playing in the "Pity" Bowl supposedly because of good grades, but as many as 7 starters prolly won't be able to play because of bad grades. The announcers will have a field day with this. lol

I'll take a coach's opinion any day over sports writers when it comes to the 97 team. We'd have gutted Meatchicken like a fish, and Meatchicken knew it.

So did you guys make an appointment with the proctologist, or have you been playing pitch and catch? The butthurt you two have........ :cry2:

Wrong again, as usual. No academic casualties for the Huskers, confirmed today by Coach Riley.

Better apply some more asscream.
