I just love College Spring Break

Sure do........................when these storms hit and my son comes home from college for the break it sure comes in handy. He delivered a backwards calf in no time flat with a live calf. He is as good as two men, he just knows what to do and does it. Not like the neighbor who said when he hired a new man it was like firing two good men.

Maybe we will get to do some things we had planned when we get this snow cleared up a little. It is gonna be tough seeing him leave again for college.

Seems like we often times tell others, when we need to tell the
one that it matters the most too. FWIW

I know that's what my dad did.

I'm happy for you getting to work with your son knowing he is a good hand!!!

He must love coming home too,because I've seen Spring Break Gone Wild on TV,and your heifers must be more appealing to him then the bikini clad ones in Cancun :wink:
 
He is a joy to be around, he makes things so enjoyable. These kids are what it all about. He just smiles and doesn't say anything when you compliment him. I could tell a million stories of how when he grew up............I grew up more.
 
The ol' Kosmo Kid has had spring break, and been snowed in here at the ranch for the past several days. School was called off Monday and Tuesday, due to the weather, and there is a two-hour delay today. Yesterday, I plowed a trail to the highway which is five miles away. Hopefully, he can get to town alright today, but we're going to miss him. He got a lot done while he was home, and greatly aided us in the calving of cows. He is also a cheerful fun guy to have around. :-)
 
Passing Thru: I couldn't agree with you more. My oldest boy is to far from here to come help with calving on his spring break. But hes coming up to help after he gets out of college. I'm exited , he's a good hand at what ever he does. Its good when you don't have to tell them alot they know what to do.
 
I think we can all agree we all are raising kids.............agriculture is just a tool we use to do it. And what better way is there, it makes it so much easier. Except like I said before I think they raise us more than we raise them.
