It rained last night. About an inch or so probably. Went to our high school's football game against their all-time rival...I left during half time, the score was like 34-0...Our 2nd quarterback, another of my friends, got his knee smeared so he was taken to the hospital...now our starting QB is a freshman...if he get's hurt we're screwed, not like we weren't already. Anyways..

Then it started snowing. Woke up at 5 to go hunting, and it was snowing. Now, it's still snowing. Roads are muddy as heck. So much for my last weekend of bow season :x unless it stops snowing.

So yeah I have some hunting stories. lol.
Sw and I went out 2 weeks ago, I prefer to hunt with my bow in a team. We were wearing cheap scent lok, but it works, realllyyyy well. Had a spike come up about 20 yards from me, walk right past me, and basically on top of sw. Then came a 6x6, but he never came within range, he had cows with them and was too occupied with them.

So we took off walkin along the top of this hill, and we hear a bull bugle, and we're like OK, this is the one we heard earlier, let's go find cover and call him in. We walk a few steps and this huge bull comes running up the hill right at us. We got down on our knees, in the grass, cuz there was no cover cept for about 10 yards away, and it woulda scared the bull if we moved. I was knocked and ready to pull back, the bull was at about 25 yards, and came closer, he wanted to know what we were, just screamin and gruntin at us. Was either a 6 or 7 point, was payin too much attention to the fact that he was comin closer and just about on top of me to count tines lol. 15 yards, facing me, and I couldn't draw because he would have seen me. Man that made me mad, cuz pretty soon he spooked, spun around and took off in a different direction. That bull has my name on it  He'll be even bigger next year if I don't get to go get him tomorrow

WOW!!!!!!!!! MCG, what a huntin' story!!!!!! I'da been peein my pants........were ya scared at all? Those bulls get riled pretty easily this time of year. Not many weeks ago, BIL lost a horse, because a bull elk gored him............granted, the horse wasn't anything to brag about, but still............
