Katy, you must be talking about the drop zone in Zephyrhills.we used to have a place about a mile from there, had one guy come thru the roof of the haybarn but its mostly a lot safer than it looks.everyone should try it at least once it's something you'll never forget.ask your mom or dad if they knew Dave Dungan or Jimmy Goethe,Dave was an old time cowboy around there he knew most everybody,he was the guy always had all the mules.Jimmy is his SIL,he is the ag deputy for Pasco co. S.O. we drove the mules in near about every parade or civil war reenactment in this part of the state.

yes, its in Zephyrhills Mom says she had spent lots of hours there! i was born in Zephyrhills
mom knew both of them.
Mom was a EMT and firefighter then after i was born she was a nurse. lol
Did you know the people who owned that big dairy there, and they had cut off all the cows tails??
Its cool that there is someone on here from around where i grew up!
Did you know the Sumner's or Nikolai's??

Katy

yep,i know the dairy yore talkin about.Gores i believe, they closed last year couldnt turn down the developers any longer their building a big shopping center there now.the whole stretch along 301 is just about built up solid from Z-hills to Dade City.Dave passed away last summer and the kids and his wife gave up his leases and sold off the cows, mules and most of the horses.cant really blame them i guess, the last few years it was getting harder for Dave to get around and the rest of the family didnt like working that hard for so little money.me and Dave were just to stubborn i guess.i have met both families you asked about kind of in passing like, we'd howdied but not shook.your mom must have worked with Lt.nesbitt i hunt with his uncle Shorty up in Richloam .i live up that way in Webster, where they have the big flea market on Mondays.i'm like you its pretty cool to find folks on here who know my part of the country.how long ago did yall wind up in the great white north ,not that i blame you the way its growing here im planning on going somewheres else in another year or so when i get the rest of my stuff sold.probably just as far as Ala. tho i dont care much for the temps farther north.well enough of my ramblin, one last thing how long ago did yall leave here?

yeah when we were down there 4 years ago it was really industilized i guess that would be the word id use. it really stinks that they are doing that!! Im sorry to hear that Dave passed away. mom says the name nesbitt sounds fimilar but he could have been there after she left. Those people you met are my family!! Im a forth generation "Nikolai" I know those webster flea market! Man i miss them!! almost 9 years ago we moved up here! I really want to get back down there soon, before i dont get to see my granddad and uncles again. lol if i had a choice i wouldnt have moved but im kinda glad i did. i would never have gotten the farming experiance down there, you know? on dec.18 it will be 9 years.
