Has their ever been beef or any type of beef products exported from Japan, and with their 18 (?) cases of BSE, what markets were closed to them, at least formally?

Japanese Kobe beef has been banned in the US since BSE was found there. One of the concessions the US gave the Japs was if they open their market to us, we will again allow Kobe beef to be sold here.
