I've applied to HUD to build a house,as the fixerupper I bought 30 years ago is now a teardownandburn..As soon as I bought said fixer,I lost my job..got another..applyed for a loan..lost job..found out what shape my folks were really in,so took care of them 'til they went to a rest home..got job..applyed for loan..got breast cancer.All of this over 30 years,with all the other stuff life throws at one going on..now over that,still have job,have applied for loan....will keep you apprised..Have house plan I want,the bottom half of a lumberjack home,the Maris,with some adjustments to make it more handicapped friendly..All I gotta do is add money!! :roll: Wish me luck,I'll update,whether you want me to or not :lol:

OMG, I think I just had the best blonde moment. I posted before I noticed that you had used the correct "rooting"...... BAhahahahahaha

We just thought it was another of those Canadianisms.
By the way, when Brits say " wipe with kitchen paper" and refer to "sweet papers" what the heck are they saying??

Peg 4x4 We hope you're loan goes through. It sound like you should get one based on sheer persistence alone!

My guess would be "kitchen paper" = Paper towels
and "sweet paper" = toilet paper.

Round here paper towels are referred to as "bill wipers"
and toilet paper = "Hockey Tickets"
 
Thanks all-Got papers filled out w/help from neighbor who went thro this 'bout 6 years ago...Now I have an app with RHD tomorrow....I'm scared,I know all they can do is say "NO",but am nervous,and neighbor is working,can't come with,so gotta do this alone... Funny,not afrade of anything else,just the Government :)
 
Got thro that part of the paperwork,but had to get copy of divorce papers!! Been divorced 30 yrs..That's the life span of the kid that was intervewing me(ooooh,I need to lie down) :? anyhow,it's started,we'll see where it goes..
 
I wonder why copies of divorce papers are needed when years and years have passed? I've always wondered that?

Got papers yesterday--looks like I may have gotten the loan !!:shock: Now Im gonna have to deal (mabe) with a 30 year morgage!
Goining in tomorrow to sign stuff,and hand in stuff :???: I'll not have fingernails past my elbow soon...
All this is mabe,if,hope so,so can't get my hopes up yet..

Does anybody know about Energy Eficent discounts on appliences?? I want to go with a tankless water heater-know anything about them?? .I'd love to use solar panels,but don't have wherewithall,so will look into passave solar(is that the term?) At least this is Texas,no 11ft of snow,just
try to stay cool in the summer..and winter...and fall..well,spring also. :D
