The book is called "Double or Nothing, The Flying Fur Buyer of Anahim Lake"

It is written by D'arcy Christensen who is 81 now and is a third generation son of a Chilcotin pioneer family. Basically an auto-biography of his life and stories about a lot of the oldtime residents in this area. D'arcy ranched, owned the family store, and was best known for flying out to the scattered camps of trappers to bring their supplies and buy their fur. He was also notorious for offering to flip "double or nothing" for payment on customer's purchases.

D'arcy is a very shrewd poker player, he told me today that he still plays 4 or 5 times a week. I know some of the pots he has won have been in the six figure range.

D'arcy also helped out a lot of folks in this area finacially over the years.

I am looking forward to reading his book.
