Has anybody done business with this place? If so....the good, the bad, the ugly? Id never heard of them before. Guess they advertise on tractor house quite a bit. Re-import American made tractors back from Europe. Had people there today from Montana, Oklahoma, and Nebraska.

Have a friend looking for a ranch loader/chore tractor. Like any of us, best bang for the buck. Looked at some used lower houred 77-7810 JD's. His pick if going new is say a 6150M. He doesn't want all the electronic gadgets that the R series has, and wants to stay away from the D series.

Anybody have wisdom or knowledge on these machines? Also any info on Legend loaders or JB tractors in Brandon Minnesota would be greatly appriecated!

TIA

Afriend of mine bought one there I think he was satisfied. From what I've been told some of the components on those tractors are different than the USA models and when some parts go bad they need to be shipped from Europe which took quite awile for his. He traded it off on a new Mc Cormick now so who knows.

Interesting. I know very little about them. He stated at least with JD, they are made in Waterloo, just like the American ones. Some slight differences like a faster transmission, and shuttle shift (left hand reverse) was on them before the American models.

I know IHC back in the day had plants in England, France, and Australia. Can see something like that needed time for parts.

Thanks for the info!

In my area there are a JD 6400, 7700, 7800 and a 7810 that were bought from JB Tractors several years ago and as far as I've heard they are all good tractors. JD tractors sold in the USA you can run the serial number through your JD Dealer and find any work done at a dealer and find if the hours seem correct, I don't know if this works on tractors sold in Europe. Most all the parts on JD European tractors are the same as US tractors.

Not sure who your talking to Big Muddy? I know what series your talking about. A lot of JD 3255 around here. Ya, they are better than a Belarus, but thats about it. One is used pretty hard here, and its been worked on by independent mechanic. Wasn't a fun project.

Was it a 2130 JD built in Germany?

I have a 2040, 2940, nd 2950 all built in mannhiem germany.

I baled hay for 2-3 days with that 3255 while my tractor was down. Not a bad machine to run. Mechanic just said difficult to work on.

Like anything else, youd rather do what youve done a couple hundred times instead of something vastly different.

I asked the local Jd dealer here about those tractors & he said don't bring it here if you by one , we don't have the micro fish for them for parts & we cant fix them .

I think if my dealer was relying on microfiche in this day and age I would have some pretty serious reservations about letting them work on anything of mine

We had a 3155 that we bought used and never had a problem with it.
They are made in Germany and are noted for having a 'dry clutch'.
Since Mr. FH is a very competent and careful operator
we never had a problem with the clutch or anything
else. He ran it for several years. It was our first FWA tractor and
he was very pleased with it at the time.

Ya, micro fish would concern me to Silver. Just to clarify, my friend is looking newer. Like late 90's early 2000. He has a 7700 and looking to stay in the same range. Like say a 7710.
