We have friends who have the Hyundai SUV's and are on their 3rd one
and they have been very happy. The only thing, I don't think they are 4 wheel drive. Aren't the ones you mentioned front wheel drive instead of
4 wheel drive? (Foirester and Equinox?)

I'd buy her a Toyota 4-Runner or Hilander they are 4 wheel drive and fairly economical. I know people who buy nothing but them. Oh, my sister-in-law
has a Honda CRV and she's in love with that. It is nice.
