Nice pics Soapweed. I love seeing pics of baby calves. We haven't started calving yet. Probably the 1st or 2nd week of April. I like your captions. It's fun to look at your pics because of the beauty of the landscape.

Soap, the cement cistern (?) with the wood roof on the hill by the windmill. Is that what it is? And was that what provided water pressure to the house in days gone by?

Yes, it is an old reservoir. Dad had one similar at his place when I was a kid. It was just a hole in the ground with plaster on top of the sand to hold the water in. Dad smoked a pipe back in those days. The old reservoir was leaking badly, and the corral water system wasn't working. Dad leaned over to see what was the problem, and his pipe and tobacco fell out of his pocket and into the water. My pappy was not in a good mood anyway, so he decided then and there to kick his smoking habit. He did. Cold turkey.
 
Soap, the absolute only thing your dad might have in common with Bill Clinton was not inhaling. :lol: :lol:
