Started hauling bales home at daylight this morning. Going great guns. A/C putting out good in the tractor and an awesome stereo. Life was good.
I live on a gravel road that leads to a popular lake resort. The traffic is getting so bad I had to quit hauling. Holiday trailers, SUV's etc. , they won't slow down or pull over and the dust has the visibility down to less than 50 feet at times. Way too dangerous. Idiots are liable to bend my bale picker if they hit me.
After midnight tonight there will be basicly no traffic until next Friday afternoon. Just me and the neighbors hauling hay.
Nap time now. :D :D

"Power-enema" would describe the one and only time I ever tried water skiing. 'Nuff said??? :D
I was sort of looking for an excuse to shut'er down anyway. Been going pretty hard haying. This heat is tough on an old guy like me. :D

They won't let him in the lake. Last time he got in it, the fish died from his crusty drawers.

Anyway, that's the story I was told.

The thermometer (right this minute) is at 92 (in the shade) and the humidity is around 200%. That's right......200%. Maybe even 300%.

Hell yea, we're hot! But at least I can get in the lake!!!!

We got a 1/2" of rain yesterday. First rain in a month.

whoopee

The temp. here is right at 90F right now and about 60% himidity. We need a rain BAD as well. I got a 1/4 section of alfalfa that I sowed this spring that will probably die if it doesn't rain and or cool down in the next few days. Grasshoppers are getting bad too. At least we don't have any wildfires like some other people do..............yet!!

Tim, a buddy of my son in law has a gadget down at Oak lake that when towed behind a boat will catch some air and raise about 15 feet in the air. While your rding it. You should pay up your insurance and try it.

I saw this morning that those "Kite" deals that are pulled behind the boats have been banned here.

I'd like to see Tim try one though.

  Which part of "power-enema" do you not get? :D  (Hint- It was not pleasant).

Oak Lake is the lake I live near. We take the boys quite often and head down there in the middle of the week. Way less people. :D

Sounds like a plan Chris, but I think we'd probably have to get them good and drunk before they would breed with them Texas 'hoppers.

I hate to ruin your fun, BUT...

a good friend of ours in Western Montana lost his son several years back
on one of those kite deals. He was airborne and the rope broke. They say he hit the water doing 80 mph. Burst his heart. He was 27 years old with a wife and a son.

BE CAREFUL!!!
