Real late this afternoon, Peach Blossom and the Kosmo Kid drove the Polaris Ranger to our lake, pulling the jet ski along with them. Getting it launched into the shallow water, they got the Ranger stuck. They were both attired in swimming gear and did not have their cell phones with them. They drove the jet ski around the lake to the closest point home, which was about a mile away. The Kosmo Kid jogged home to get something to pull out the Polaris. I suggested a front-wheel-assist tractor, as we about got a pickup stuck in very similar circumstances last year. He took the tractor, and I went for a little evening ride on the Arctic Cat four-wheeler. The sun was just going down, so I got a bit carried away taking "sunset" pictures. I beg your forgiveness. Here are the pictures of our evening's escapades, in the order in which the events happened.

Must of been the nite for sunset pictures...lol I took quite a few too of the same sky...but still mine turned out a little different...Funny how a few miles makes a difference in what we see....It sure was a great nite for taking pictures though...

How come we don't see you out there in your "western swimming attire"?

My crew thinks playing in the water is fun, :? but it is an excruciating experience for me. I can't swim. :(

Guess I'd about as soon fritter my time away on Rancher.Dot.Net. :)

Do we need to get you some water wings soap? I think we might have an extra pair around here

I always forget how much fun it is to play in the water until I get to do it again... That seems to be what family vacations are for these days....

It was a pretty sunset tonight.

Water stuff is not my cup of tea, and I don't want to scare anybody or any animal by me parading around in a swim suit.

You and greg COULD be related...his sentiments on water the same as yours :D

Sounds a bit like my brother in law but his comment always is that he had a pool when he was growing up and swam 24 hours a day 365 days a year and is all swimmed out.. The wife's family takes a vacation every year over to the beach in Michigan and I have yet to see him in the water... Than again, last year was the first time I was out there, working with the daughter so she can learn to swim or at least not be afraid of the water.. She is getting there..

Great photos Soapweed. Looks like Peachblossom and Kosmo Kid had a good time...even tho it was a lil trouble in the end gettin everthang back home.

I'm tellin you....if we had a lake the size of that anywhere on our property, I'd never get Mr Lilly or Lil Lilly to do anything but play on the jet ski. I'm kinda like you.....I can't swim worth a dern.....and would just as soon sit and watch or do somethin else......good thang for camera's huh......gives us "non water folk" somethin else to do. :D

We used a wave runner once up at Lake Michigan when my wife and were still just dating. It was fun and the sucker we were on was very fast, Never did do one of the stand up ones but I imagine that might be a bit trickier.. But than again, I like being on or in a boat, be it a Kayak or a big ole sail boat they are all fun and enjoyable to me.. Spent most of my youth submerged or half submerged during the summers.

Awesome, almost inspires one to write a poem about 4 wheelers and sunsets, except I'm not really the poetry writin' type.
