BLV is a serious disease but isn't it only spread through the herd by blood? Via needles and such?
I read not too long ago that BLV caused the most number of slaughter disqualifications of any other disease.
Tumors throughout the lymphoid tissue.
There has been some talk of breast cancer in women being caused by drinking milk from BLV infected cows.
It's been a few years since I tested.
