Sad, we had 4 yearling along a fence that got it one time. Lucky the whole herd hadn't crowded into the fence corner.

That is a gruesome photo for sure. Very sorry for the cows and the owner.

A registered Angus ranch in SE Montana held their annual bull sale. Before the sale, which is held the end of March, they put some cows in on a bale feeder. When they got home, lightening had hit the feeder and killed 7 cows.

We had 4 cows and 5 calves killed under the same tree by lightening. They weren't all pairs, of course.

I was sad when I lost one calf to a strike about 3 years ago - - - with only 18 mother cows that would have wiped out my "Herd"
