I don't have many fresh photos that I haven't posted before so i'll have to start taking some more.
Here is what I like about Luing.
45Psnow-1.jpg

A fully winterized cow that can handle winter grazing in our climate.

...but still slick off in summer

...and turn in bulls like this.

One of 4 heifers (3 full sisters) out of my now gone 23 year old that will calf this spring.

An ET sister

Another ET sister (maybe my favorite)

A natural daughter off a different sire.

A bull we have semen on, maybe a bit too terminal for my liking but one that produces great grass-fed steers for sure. His back right foot looks wrong - it's a long story but he had a broken leg and it healed up.

Yes I like what your cattle are capable of. That first one has white on her nose but good pigmentation on the rest of her. Genetics are important but the true art is your ability to have something nutritious for them when they are up to eyeballs in snow. Very impressive Grassfarmer. :-)

What do you mean white on her nose Per :???: It's snow   Or do you mean the actual skin colour? If so all the cattle pictured have white noses. Actually in Scotland black noses have been outlawed in the breed - for cosmetic reasons as far as I can tell.
It's the same cow in picture one and two by the way and the young bull in three is her son.

Don't feel alone GF, per got me too with that smarta$$ remark! Made me go back and look again!

You do have good looking cattle that function well in their environment.
