It was clear and -26C this morning, and now it's melting a little. Beautiful calving weather today.

Not looking forward to calving in the mud and water, but I am looking forward to the snow being gone, and warmer nights.

Good pics. Practically springlike.
How do you like that LS tractor? If you don't mind me asking what is the price tag? I was looking at a 95hp Kioti with loader this fall (loaded, FWA, Cab, etc) for $48K new.

I believe the tractor was $54,000. A local guy started selling them, so thought we'd try it. LS makes the lower end NH tractors and this has the same engine as the NH 5050 I believe. So far it's been a good tractor. Good thing because the local guy quit selling them
I think this tractor has 105 engine hp and 95 pto hp

Great pictures, Silver. Looks like you have everything nicely under control. Hope your calving continues to go well, and that the moisture from the snow brings plenty of green grass next spring.

Looking good!! Mike took pictures of about 300 'grass stealers' on our leased place last week. He herded them across the road, hopefully they'll stay there.

Nicky, what has your weather been like? It's been a March from HE77 here.
Lots of people calving, calves ears freezing before they can get them in the barn.

Really nice until last week, then cooler. Last two morning were the coldest since mid jan. Dry though, grass is really trying to grow. Hopefully we'll get some moisture and not too much wind.

Good luck on the "not too much wind." Our wind is blowing so hard out of a different direction each day, that the tumbleweeds are getting worn out chasing each other back and forth across the pastures.
