A couple pictures of the kids I just wanted to share. Youngest daughter is really liking helping with the bottle feeding.

My boy helping out

Brother teaching sister how to get the milk.

Just over 150 calves on the ground, this morning we had 4 more calves than cows, but one calf pitched some sort of a fit immediately after being born and couldn't be revived. That cow immediately adopted one. This leaves us with 3 twins and one "other" (the herniated navel calf) to feed. I think we have a line on a guy that will take the bottle calves.

Was at a salebarn today dairy cross beef calves were between $300 to $460 each good 100# holstein bull calves were $300 give or take a few dollars.

Good to see the youngsters helping out and learning. It's the best part of life for me when my kids help and are excited to do it. I guess having more calves than cows beats the other way around.! :D :D :D You have always kinda reminded me of a dairy farmer!    (Not that there's anything wrong with that)

It is a wonderful thing to see the kids show some interest for sure! I never had much dairy farmer type abilities until we allowed the dang Angus content get a little too high in the herd! Seems like there's no shortage of fiddlin' needs being done with that breed!
Anyway, don't you have some sage brush to pull off a fence or some jackrabbits to chase out of a goat pen???
