I planted 10 acres in 2009 going to get 8 , 1500 lbs bales to the acre dryland this year from it . We planted 170 acres in 2011 90% of the plants died or didnt grow .
the guy that told me about has had stands last for 11 years still going strong he says its the best alfalfa he has ever seen .
I have only grazed it a little bit .
as for haying i love the rebound 5,its very agressive and come back really quick,last year i took 4 cuttings and the fall was dry,i cut it about every 28-30 days,i have a stand of that that is 6 years old and is still very good
