Ok, well, here I am, sick at home, and listening to a couple songs over and over and over and over-well you get the picture. lol.

So, here's my idea-everyone has a story or two that has to do with a song, hopefully a positive one, so here are my couple.

Doc Walker-Rocket Girl

The other day when I was going through the computer and deleting old files and songs that noone listens to anymore, I came across this song and gave it a play. Listening to the words it reminded me about all the good times Hillary and I have when we go party somewhere, walk around town, when we have a movie night or just on one of those nights you sit together close and don't say a word, the both of you with smiles on your faces watching the sun set or standing in a warm spring shower. She takes me to places I've never been, all I have to say is "Hey, where we goin' today, Rocket Girl". :D

Fergie-Big Girls Don't Cry

No, I am NOT gay, haha. Ever since the song came out, me and my fellow fat men, Cam and Riley, have been singing it, mostly for laughs. My favorite time with this song was one day last summer when Dad said I could have some friends over and have one big bonfire, thanks to the neighbors tearing down a shed and dropping off some firewood. Anyways, I was talking with Mat (another close friend) and I saw Breton's Hemi coming down the driveway with Cam and Riley hanging out the windows belting out Big Girls Don't Cry.

Brad Paisley-Rainin' You

The night that I met Hillary, it was late winter, early spring. She got in the truck with us (She knew my friends long before I was in the scheme of things)and what luck, I was sitting beside her, haha. She was wearing a light green jacket, black top, white jeans, black and pink shoes. On the right thumb she had a ring. Her hair was curly and she had a pink flower with white around the edges in the left side. The song came on the radio and every once in a while we talk about that night and how much this song reminds us of it.

Nelly Furtado-Promiscuous Girl

When the Broncos were in the SJHL league finals, we drove from Humboldt to Melville to watch a game. We lost like 5-0 or 5-1, but the whole way down there we listened to liek two songs, over and over again. We wore the disc out. Good times, Good times.

Keith Urban-Stupid Boy

My brother and I were pulling a trailer up the driveway for Dad in Grandpa's Duramax, and we had to unhook it, go to the house, hook up the baler and bring it to the end of the driveway, where there was someone waiting for it so we could get it fixed (Dad is a litle hard on his equipment... don't tell him I said that, hehe.). When I turned the truck into the approach by the yard and tried turning around, I got stuck. Immediately this song played on the radio and While I was outside shovelling, Sheldon said, "Hey Alex, its your Theme song!" (Just the stupid boy part, not the rest).

I have a few more stories but I'm probally boring you guys by now, haha.

Take care,
Alex

Alex---as you can probably imagine, "Stupid Boy" by Keith Urban has a whole different mean to ME than it does YOU!!! I, too, hear the song, but reminds me of the "ex"
But, then I hear other songs and they sort of pick me up a bit....songs like "If You're going through Hell", "Better Life" (also by Keith Urban), and Sugarlands "Everything" ("i ain't settlin' for just getting by..had enough of "so-so" for the rest of my life...tired of shooting too low, so raise the bar higher, because enough ain't enough this time....I ain't settling for anything less than everything")
Hope you get to feeling better, young man!! Remember to drink fluids to keep hydrated and get plenty of rest!!
:D :D :D

It does infact have a much, much different meaning, and it is a truly touching song, but it was just that that one song came on at the perfect time and my little brother caught it, just two trigger words that will keep a memory going a lifetime

I feel better, Just got a sick stomach... I should feel better in a bit, I got to sleep till noon, been on the computer and texting friends since then... Mom made me chicken noodle soup and I'm thirsty as all get out, yep, its only a matter of time. :D:D

As of right now, I am talking to Hillary, I don't think she had school today either, haha. Her favorite thinking song is Stay by Sugarland, because it reminds her of how every time she seemed to fall for a guy he would find another 'better' girl. I told her there is no better (I'm smoothe, eh? haha) and now she thinks she found a guy that won't turn out like the rest of them... I wonder who it is...

Any other favorite songs?
