Hated to do it, but I had to tap some of these on their shoulders and disturb them so I could go through the gate. :?

Puddles on the road last Sunday evening, after a rain of four tenths of an inch

On Thursday I rode the Ranger 61 miles total, and was never on a road of any kind all day.

Rounded up and moved two bunches of cattle without additional help, which allowed the rest of the crew to stay in the hay field.

The back rubber is still under water, even as dry as it is around here

Heifers headed for the home corrals

Where they will go through the chute to get individually identified. This qualifies them to go to Minnesota sometime the middle of this coming week.

The day is through. Ready to load my green broke steed of steel for the rest of the way back home.

Not many mounts that will run 60 miles in a day and still try to strike or run over you at the finish. :wink:

I use it as an indicator as to how dry conditions really are. If that pond dries up, we are in real trouble.

I'm glad you aren't in real trouble then, since the back rubber is still
in the water. I know people in eastern Mt. that would give anything to
have that nice pond of water about now. Cows are getting sick from
the stagnant water on some ranches.

Those grandkids, they'll grow up as close as brothers and sisters, I betcha.
Gee, they are so cute and are so much fun.

We have been gone and we had a downpour her at the ranch
while we were gone. Things
looked better when we returned than they did when we left, but we need
so much more. It is heartening that at least we are getting something,
last year we didn't have any moisture from July 1 on for the rest of the
year.
