Early Friday morning, Peach and I headed to Minnesota to look at the yearling heifers that Denny
is summering for us on account of the drought in Nebraska. On the way, we visited the Redlin
Art Center in Watertown, South Dakota. It is a fabulous facility which cost ten million dollars to build,
but admission is free. We had no trouble spending two and a half hours admiring the wonderful
paintings of Terry Redlin. Here is the website: http://www.redlinart.com/

Nifty puppy picture that Terry Redlin drew while attending art school

Explanation of how the dog drawing happens to inhabit a place of prominence in the art center. I shouldn't
have been taking photographs, but didn't realize the error of my ways until these three pictures had already
happened. At least, I didn't use the flash. Peach and I would highly recommend the Redlin Art Center
as time well spent if you are ever in that area.

Heifers in Minnesota. These were some that arrived there about August 1st. The cows and red calves in the background belong
to someone else.

They are on good grass, and will also have access to this meadow after the bales are moved.

Which was a fun and novel experience for us this summer

Denny is a talented hard-working guy. We appreciate him having room to take in the heifers this summer, since grass is in such
short supply at home.

They are still gentle enough to remember us.

Rock pile and deer stand in the background. There are almost more deer stands per square mile in this neck of the woods, than there are
people per square mile back in the Sandhills.

I can tell neither of you are lawyers, you keep your hands in your own pockets.

Thanks for taking me along Soap. Denny is doing a good job with the heifers, has he found a buyer for them yet?

Nice green grass and some hayground regrowth in the wings. How long will they stay in Minnesota? Looking good there Denny.

Ya'll are wearing jackets while we are still sweltering in the high 90's out here. Funny how diverse things are. :D Heifers look great as does all the beautiful feed. Great deal for both of your guys and neat to see it all work out.

Sure glad you all made the trip. For those who have never met Steve and Carol it's an honor. Both are very nice and genuine people. I could have toured them around our area all weekend. One set of these heifers were bale grazeing and Steve did'nt even take a picture what a guy. Yesterday they were corn grazeing but still in the fence. I told him take the picture but he still did'nt. Once again thanks for coming and it was real nice meeting Carol she is a Peach.

Funny thing about deer stands here there's a ladder on the back side of that old house thats a deer stand too.
