MIX 30

Haven't used Mix 30. Have used Purina's Super-lix though and it was pretty good for the cattle. It's a urea product.

You'll find some comments on Mix 30 on the Cattle Today sight. Just do a search on "mix 30" over there. If I remember right, there were several people who used and liked the product.

I've used it a couple of times, but it's been six or eight years. Seems like the last time I used it was to winter some replacement heifers with sorry hay. Worked pretty good. I used lick tanks and moved the tanks to get consumption where I wanted it. In other words, the closer you get the tanks to hay and water, the higher your consumption. If you want them to use a lot of it, put your tanks between hay and water. If you want to cut back on consumption, move your tanks so that they will have to go out of their way to get to them. The best I recall, I got mine up to about three pounds per day. I thought it was a good value and the heifers did good on it.
