Here's a bunch of photos from the last couple days, we're getting 6-10 calves a day right now.

Here's our 3rd set of twins, I helped her out this morning. Daughter was the photographer,

More photos by DD,

The smallest calf of the year... Weighed 42 lbs, I think each of those twins will weigh about twice as much as this calf :lol2:

Hobbled cow, she doesn't want to raise 2 calves, but we're winning the battle, she has her own calf and one of our earlier twins.

Close up of how we have her hobbled.

Cow that had cancer eye, took her to the vet last fall and had it fixed. Said she had about a 50% chance of it not coming back. So far, so good.

Dumb calf, would suck everything but his mama's teats, granted she doesn't have a super udder, but it isn't that bad.... Bottle fed him his first meal of colostrum, then had to teach him how to pick up her teats. I think he'll be OK now... He had the best bed on the place though...

Thanks! The mild weather is great although we are supposed to get up to a foot of snow over the next few days. Not too cold, just lots of snow.

Nicky and Per, you know how those cows care about fashion!! She's 9 years old and she has decided she likes to help out with the cows DS who's 14 has to just about be forced to help out. It is nice having one that likes what we do....

There is certainly nothing wrong with looking good out in the herd. The cattle are looking good as well. You must be well along with the calving process. I am hoping the forecasters are wrong. I am ready for spring.

Yeah, we are well into it, have about 60 calves on the ground, all good so far. I sure hope they are wrong about the snow too, but we have an east wind, and that is usually a harbinger for snow or rain here. And it sure is humid out too.

Nice pics. Your timing has been spot on for calving so far this year. If you want to send some heat feel free...
