She sure has a sense of humor. Our ice is no where near as bad as the mid west saw but still enough to knock out power for a day and ruin some nice little trees. Cloudy and gloomy today.

Nice pictures Cert. Those white topped weeds (queen anne lace I think) are nasty in my combine. If there is a good stand of them in the fescue, they can raise the moisture from 12 to 25 in a bin of seed. I hate them with a purple passion. I have them too and cows eat them when they
are small and tender I think. In my seed fields I spray for them. Good looking dog.
 
We got 8 1/2 inches of snow then this ice on top, all in the last day and a half.

RR, I hate those weeds too. I feel your pain. Our cattle will only eat them on a year with adequate moisture. And the second they get more than 4 inches tall...the cows eat around them. They are hard to mow off. We have more problems with them in the 2nd cutting hay. They grow so much faster than the hay it seems. They make it hard to get the hay dry too.

Jinglebob, we were flooded in December. 2007 brought a new kind of moisture. Problem is that if you are able to get dug down through the snow...you'll find mud. We didn't get cold until the first coating of snow. That was early january and it hasn't left yet.

The power was out for a day and the water was froze up. But other than that, the ice hasn't hurt anything important.
 
Aw! That puppy is so cute. Just want to kiss him on his fuzzy face. What a sweetie you have.
