We had a fairly large crew of capable riders today not knowing how these girls would handle being trailed thru our northern woods.

Getting the last bites off this pasture.

These girls were ready to go.

Got them out and moving with know problems they trail just as good here as they do at home.

After the count came in we were 6 head short minus the one that got hauled up on thursday that had joined in with the neighbors we were short 5 head. After a little Soapweed inginuity (Trailer backed up in a corner) the last 5 made the journey in style.

Lane wanting to go get a burger at the local watering hole after a days work. Was a perfect day spent with good friends. We even sighted in my rifle for elk hunting.

Looks like you have a nip in the air up there. The leaves appear to be about done. We felt that way here today. I must have slept through fall or maybe it didn't even happen. Was summer one day(80 degrees), in the 50's the next and winter today (high 30's). Looks like those heifers have climatized allright. Thanks for the post.

PS. I had no desire to saddle up either!

Sure glad these heifers are eating your grass instead of ours, Denny. You had a good crew on hand for the cattle drive, and it looks like you have everything well under control. The heifers appear to be doing fine. Thanks for the update.

I'd be nervous if Denny is sighting in his rifle while moving your heifers Soap! If the count comes up 1 short we'll know where it went!
Thing and heifers look swell! :D

It would be cheaper than what this elk hunt is costing.
