Caution !!! Caution !!! Caution!! Do Not enter corral with out a flotation device, snorkel , and a life line so we can find your body. Perforable that you take a John Boat!!!!!
This morning.
looked like a nice braided hair rope on one of the pools of water in the no man land part of the corral. Got the tractor close and I crawled out onto the hay fork and fished down with a log chain. Got back in the tractor and lifted and pulled a big glob of mud came up so I drove over to the swollen creek and dunked it a few times. Well I got a new hired hand long braid of black hair not very tall or big , pulse can't understand a word he says. :???:

Sounds like your snow has turned to water and mud. The green grass will be sure to follow.

I always wear a hat when going into any body of water. Not being able to swim, at least if anyone looks for me they can see by the hat floating on top of the water the location where I went down. :cboy:

Guessing, from the photo and the time it took to 'set the stage'....several causes seem possible: a. fighting all the mud has driven someone bonkers; b. someone has too much time on their hands.......even in spring!; c.it is believed that some folks reading ranchers.net are gullible and will fall for this little scene and call 911 to report the 'problem'!

Have a happy time in the mud puddles. At least the ones here don't have a snow drift as backdrop! It does appear that we had about an inch and a half of rain last night, got down to about 40%, a little cold for a calf dropped in the bottom of the draw, but it still is trying to live after that, and more rain is forecast for the next few days. We were needing it, but would be quite willing to save some of it for a week or two. Wishing the rest of you great spring weather, as you need it.

Jody, it's a little muddy here at the moment also. We had right at 3" of rain last night, and might get 3" to 5" of snow tonight. The moisture is mighty welcome. It's the first time in a long time we have had opportunity to burn old net wrap from the hay bales. I am glad we are not calving full tilt at the moment, as these cold rains and hard winds are difficult to deal with.
