These pictures were taken about a month ago, when it was warm and comfortable. After we took what pictures we wanted, we scouted some country about fifteen miles south west. A friend tipped me off to the area where he had seen Ol One Ear. I was more than pleased to find him running with about seventeen head, about two miles down the country Then while glassing some more, I was ecstatic to find the two palomino colts that went missing early in the spring. They were running with a black stud, separate from One Ear's band.

--------- Brothers-------

----I could have just about reached out and touched him.

--- Curious and Friendly

The results of watching poor examples.

A little history we found along the way.

Those brothers would make a splashy looking team. :D :D

for the new sleigh!!!

Nice pictures, mustang. Thanks!

If I'd had a bucked of oats and a couple of halters,,,, and had your shipping address, I don't think it would have been too hard a job to send them your way. I surely do hate to see them go to waste. I dearly love Ol Gypsy and her family. With all the trips out there (100 miles one way) and all the pictures and hiking to get the best pictures possible, It has been about the only thing that has been an continuing, fun interest. Having two buds that like to do it always helps.

You have a great hobby, mustang. I admire you for your diligence and knowledge of the habits of the wild horses, and of course for all the wonderful photographs you take of them.

I really like that set of pictures. Something about the way the colors all blend together. Save and preserve those pictures, and all your others too. We never know what will come next. Who knows, someday those pictures may be all we have left.

I like what you said. I agree that there are no guarantees that mustangs will be around in the future. Each time we are out there and see a band of 120 head or more, I marvel at the sight of such a wonder. Ten years ago I didn't know they existed. I keep telling my friends that go with me, take a good look, It might be the last time we see that many together.

Thanks for your interest. Tell me how to make sure I don't loose the pictures. I have an external hard drive, but I've heard that even they, are not full proof.

My daughter lost a bunch of her pictures off a external hard drive.

CD's and Memory sticks.

I was discussing this very thing with some people at a conference one time. Pictures from the 1800's can still be in pretty good condition but today lots get printed off but they don't last and digital bits get lost. :?

How are the calendars coming, mustang? I need to tell you how many I want. I hope I'm not too late!!

I proofed them on Monday. Of course Murphy was an optimist. They called today and told me the printer wasn't working wright and I'd pay another $3.00 they could clear coat one page and the problem would be solved. I told the sweet thing to cancel the order. She immediately said they would forgo the additional charge.

I am a little afraid to promise anything until I see it first hand. I think I should know Thursday. I'll keep everyone up to date as soon as I am sure.

If I get calendars,, I have a few extra.

I thought of CDs. I don't know how many pictures will fit on a CD. I have about 11,000 mustang pictures. Does anyone know how many Memory Sticks it would take. I could probably Delete about 1/3 of the pictures and not loose to much. Some of them are just a reminder of "where and when."
