I have finally talked Mustang into allowing me to produce a coffee table type book. From what we have found, it will be about 20 pages long, and the size will be approximately 12X12. It will sell for around $30 shipped.

He will have his pictures in them, and a small amount of text to tell the history and facts, much like what he does on here.

These things are kinda pricey to do, so we need to pre-sell as many as we can.

What is the paper quality it will be on? It will be in color, I am assuming.

Western Horseman used to be on a real heavy, glossy paper, but is now on a paper that is not as heavy, nor as glossy but the pictures are still very
attractive. I'm sure they changed paper because of cost.

The paper quality is what makes books so expensive, but you gotta have good paper to reproduce quality pictures.

Will this book be hard bound or what will be the binding/cover?

Hey Lazy WP,,,, lets slow down just a bit. For the present, lets just find out if anyone is interested in such a book,,, If we find enough interest,, then we can confirm price and proceed from there.

I like the internet version crisp clear pictures with no cost and it doesn't clutter up my house.

I somehow missed out on the calendar, and really like the idea of the book.

I don't believe $30.00 is out of line, depending on how many pages, photo's, etc.

Internet is great, but I believe a real, hard copy record of the horses of that area, wild ones in general, would be a treasure.

I like the ones on here very much and would sure support the project. Yet wouldn't want it to be a burden, whether mental, time, or money on anyone to put it together.

If you can get it printed I would like to have one. If you can get a rough idea how many you need to sell it would be nice. Maybe someone would want a couple for CHRISTMAS GIFTS.They would make a lot of the horse crowd smile! Keep us posted.

You can put me down for two. Like mwj mentioned, they will make perfect Christmas gifts for the horse crazy folks I know.

I will speak for at least two and I'll talk to others and tell them about it.
How many do you need to have guaranteed before you have it printed?

I would hope that you could have enough spoken for prior to printing, that it would pay for the printing. Selling over that amount would get you a profit. It would be really nice if you could make something doing this.
People other than ranchers, well, maybe I should say, there are other people that are way more nutso than us ranchers about mustangs. We could help you get the word out to those people.
Just think, you could become rich and famous!!!!!!!! :D

Seriously, tho, there is nothing wrong with capitalizing on your work to make a profit. If anyone here thinks otherwise, they can speak now or forever hold their peace.

I feel most of us here are wishing you the best with this project. I wonder if it could be done for Christmas 2013?
