Hello All, I have been hunting for 5-6 years and I have always taken a doe, this is the 1st year I drew a buck tag and this is what I filled it with. He's not a monster but a very respectable 4 point. I couldn't have asked for a nicer 1st buck, I took him with 2 shots ( both in the vitals).

Thank you all for the kind words, Yes I'm wearing nat. gear camo. I love the stuff!

Doesn't it sometimes seem contradictory when you see a bunch of hunters--- and they are all dressed in camo- so they "can't be seen"
BUT
then have on gobs of "hunter orange" so they are legal and "can be seen" :???:

Always makes me chuckle when I see a gaggle of them heading into the water hole all camoed and oranged up to relive their hunts.......

Nice deer- chickshunt2...All that counts with hunting is that you're a good sport- sportsman(person) and you have a good time.....

I agree with the orange thing it makes me laugh too. But I have had deer walk 10 feet away from me while wearing my camo and blaze and they never knew I was there. I know dogs have a harder time seeing the blaze orange color, I wonder if deer are the same? ( I'm not saying they can't see it they just don't see it like we do) I also agree with the most important thing with hunting is being a good sport/sportsmen. That not only means following the basic rules of hunting & land usership but also knowing that any day spent afield is a good day, even if you didn't see a thing!
