After I got the replacements and bred heifers tucked in for the day, I went and checked our bulls and two other groups of cows.

We used him on our heifers this year

I really like the calves that we have from this bull

This bull is from an outfit north of us that we have not bought bulls from before this last winter. His sire is from Rollin Rock in MT. He is a super aggressive breeder, I hope his calves are nice.

Couple of cows I bought a month ago, they didn't seem so big from the grand stands!!

I can't quite figure how the vet called them January calvers? Tales from the sale barn I guess. Nice little, healthy heifer calves either way.

Does your dog always look so skeptical? LOL I had to laugh at that expression!

Yeah, Missy runs with some pretty tough company!! She was checking to make sure that I was going to get out and get the gate, since it was snowing ya know!!!

FH, thanks for your compliments. Our cows are in plenty good shape, a little too good of shape. But going into winter should help their diet routine!! The best thing I like about our Sim bull is that there is only an 8th. But from what I hear, my wife's uncle wants to try one with a little more Sim. Which for the way we run our cattle, on expensive irrigated pasture, hopefully they can add a few more pounds to the calves.

I'm sure glad to see that I'm not the only one that has a 4 legged shotgun rider...lol Most of the time Jazzy luvs to ride in the back, but on these cold days, she's standing at my door waiting to get in...ya know them borders are the smartest dogs....
