This is my horse, Handy. He is a registered Morgan I bought from Tru West Morgans out of Glendive. He went to the trainer this summer. moves like a dream and has no end to his "go". The trainer just loved him.
Great temperment.
He was a butterscotch color when I took him to the trainer and boy did he turn dark as fall arrived. I asked the trainer if he was feeding him chocolate or coffee to make him turn dark.

I had a friend in HighSchool that owned a little Morgan...showy horse and he could travel....It don't matter what breed it is,,just as long as you like him and he works for ya...Cute.

He is my 3rd Morgan and every one of them had no quit in them and they all love going after cows.
My first one chased cows til she died, literally. She had an unknown heart condition and dropped dead on me after a ride, she had no quit in her.
My second one loves chasing cows. When he was getting ridden by a friend they were chasing heifers around the corral, the horse got so busy chasing the cows he forgot about the rider, lost his balance and fell over. Surprised everybody.
This last one I haven't gone after cows yet, so no idea how he will do. Just plan some easy rides til the spring. Husband wants to try roping off of him. he has such an easy going temperment there should be no problem.

.What kind of rope is that on your saddle?

HEY! I WAS 10 YEARS OLD _ Just some old rope _ Looks like it was hung backwards to me.

I learned to ride when I was 8 _ I was a city kid Want to Be _ don't know if that ever changed...
Hey nothing wrong with growing up in the city, just thought that rope looked a little heavy. :)

The rope was probably a old grass or manilla rope and whoever rode the horse must have been a good hand as that is really nice headstall, bit and reins and romal, would be quite expensive nowadays.

We lived on the edge of town _ our street was the city limits _ I kept this mare and her foal across the street _ as I recall I was decked out for the "Gilroy Rodeo Parade" _ an Old Cowboy named Harry Rwanda (sp) lived next door _ he let me use the Head Tack for the Rodeo. A few years later he gave it to me before he past _ I still have it.

Note:
I have the strips on the single blanket going the wrong way.
I still have that OLD BLANKET also.
