We have that to look forward to. Our eldest great grand girl has only ridden her saddle horse, and a sheep in a kids rodeo last summer just after she turned five years old. She says "I was trying to say No Daddy, get me off, when the gate opened and I rode it and I got $28.00!"
Her most recent 'up and down day' was a week or two ago, when she proudly rode her horse all the 1/4 mile from her house to mine with her dad driving ahead of her in the pick-up to open the gate to get to our barn......then while getting off in the corral, she fell.....and got her 'school coat' all muddy! Lots of tears over the mud and she wanted to get right home to get cleaned up....till her dad mentioned there was a baby calf in the barn she could play with till he finished chores......and all was well!

It is nice that there are opportunities for kids to get some help and small arena experience with several 'little kid fun days' during summer in this area.

She looks well balanced. Kids are amazing athletes and if I remember this isn't your only.
Congratulations silver.
Little girls are special to me.
Nice pony.

That looks like she is having fun. It also looks like you will have to get a real job to support her habit!

Thanks, she does melt my heart. Her balance is coming, this is her first horse with big power and it has been quite a learning curve for her. She does get behind sometimes but is getting better all the time. This is her first season on him and it's been incredibly rewarding to watch the progression. Hope to start her roping this summer.

I had one but I just quit :o , time to focus full time on ranching.

Congratulations on having a great kid(s), Silver, and on being able to quit your "real" job!
