There's a buck we've hunted for a few years but never caught him in the open. Ty was hunting and got a call from a buddy to come check out a buck that was yarded up with a doe. Ty drove over there anmd it was him. They both shot-Ty was first and lunged him and our frioend hit a bit far back. when it came time to tag him our bud said lets flip a coin. The first time it landed on it's edge in the grass! The second flip our bud won it and Ty let him tag this buck he killed-just a measly 175 2/8.

The way to learn to shoot is to shoot alot. We hunt something almost every day of the year lol.

Maybe if were down there we can tie into some prairie dogs-Sara is a good shot for the amount she practices.

We have a good size dog town in our summer pasture and not a lot of hunters.

Well lets see we have my Rem. 788 .243.
My son has a youth .243.
My hubby has a .223
We have 3 .22's an automatic and 2 bolt action.

Had a friend that used to travel up into Canada and I just wish I could remember how he got his rifles up there and back.
I'll ask around.

My son saw Ty's deer and said he was a really nice deer, then I told him about the coin toss, response was "Ah dang."

Read my worst of times post lol. I think we could raise havoc with that aresenal-if he gets his PRCA permit maybe we'll try and get entered in Great Falls.

Cory and Ty, what an awesome animal! Congrats to everyone involved. You guys are silly up there in Saskatchewan!!! (Hee-Hee) :lol: No way I would have called my buddie, I would have kept him for myself! HA! Call me greedy! BUT the biggest whitetail I have killed was in Iowa in 2006 and he gross scored like 189 and net was like 172! So I'de have to try and keep him for myself! Anyhow, I think it's great how you guys are such good buddies and share so well.... :lol: :wink:

that take some will power to pass a 150 class with a bow.....not sure i could have done it. he'll be bigger next year if he is still alive next year, shoulda taken him :wink:
