Name that flower

wife and I went wild flower hunting the other night. Here's a few of the ones we found.

Can you name them?

Here's one of my favorites. It was kind of closed but I think you can still get it:

This might be the same as the first one:

Here's a muskrat we found while down at the bass pond this evening.

1 Some kind of vetch.

2 Globe Mallow

3 Gumbo Lilly

4 Vetch again

5 Damfino

6 Braken Spiderwort or somesuch

7 Cattail in his mouth :wink:

I would say the number 1 and number 4 is Scarlet Gaura. You have magnified the flower a bit more than it usually appears by itself. I am not familiar with some of the others as they grow on gumbo or heavier soil than mine. Number 5 I believe is either Bracted Spiderwort or Prairie Spiderwort. Number 2 is Scarlet Globe Mallow, some people call it Cowboy Rose, It is interesting because it is very drought resistant it will lose it's follage to conserve moisture.
