We heard the news last night. But have been busy with a car show today, and I didn't have a chance to get online until now to read about it.

So sad....it really is a landmark in this community. But I'm sure Greg will rebuild what's damaged and be back up and doin business as soon as possible.

Here's the article.

I just got home from Navasota livestock 12:00am and they still had a pretty good sale 2700+. Greg said they will not have a sale next sat. and maybe the next to depending on how long it takes to bebuild the area damage by the fire. They really had a hard time in moving cattle back and forth from one barn to another, because Mid-Tex could not hold all the cattle. Mid-Tex is really a nice barn with a siting area bigger than the East Texas Livetock (the one I posted pictures of in another post). The highest price bred cows of the day was $1825 on some Brahman. The highest price pairs was $1400 on some Brafords. Their next replacement sale will be on December 12, 2009.

Uhggg....it was Catfish Friday at the salebarn. Bet that puts a dent in all those people that normally go eat fish there. Plus it's durin lent.....

Thanks for the update Trinity Man. I knew Greg would get it taken care of as fast as he possibly can. He's just that kinda person. Not much is gonna get him down.

I wondered if the big picture hangin in the entry hall, of all the herefords made it thru? I absolutely love that picture. It's one of those that you can sit and look at forever.

Well just got some news about Navasota Livestock Barn today from a friend that stop by to see how it's going.

Well I guess you have heard by now about the barn at Navasota, I stopped by there a couple of hours ago and talked to some contractors that were trying to figure out if they could rebuild or tear it down and start over, one contractor said it wasn't worth saving, the other one said it would cost more than it was worth to fix it.
They said regardless it would take a month or so just to get it clean, and I was going to come over this sat

I know this is news Greg didn't want to hear.
