Good luck to the Lady 'Huskers in the NCAA National title game tonight. I watched them dispense of UCLA short order...they're awesome!

If you've never watched a volleyball game, this would be a great one to watch, it's on ESPN II at 7:00 mt tonight. I don't know who they are playing, but it's either Washington or Stanford.

The Nebraska-UCLA game Thursday night was the largest attendance college volleyball game ever! They are playing in the finals of the National Tournament in Omaha, quite a fitting place for NU to win the title I think!

Yep, it's Stanford. Back in my 20s and early 30s, I played a lot of sand volleyball. I don't think I was the best guy in the league, but I thought I could run with about anybody. There's no way you could get me on the court against those women. Holy cow, they can launch it - and then most of the time somebody digs it back up. I'm just amazed.

If you watch the match, check out Larson for NU. She servers that ball so hard, you have to watch the defense to see where they move before you can figure out where she hit it. They need to send her to Iraq or Afghanistan as a silent sniper - I'm convinced she could rip somebody's head off from 50 yards with that serve.
