Hello everyone. We are new members to the board but have been watching for the past 10 yrs and little bow said we should post some pictures. So I took some this morn. and posted them through the photo gallery. I would like to post them on the board next time. I will get it all figured out in time.
I will also post some of our past pictures of chores and horses and kids.
Thanks all.

Hello BMR. We are 1/2 hr strait north of Coaldale and 20 min northeast of Picture Butte. We are both native AB's but just recently moved here 3 yrs ago from SW SK in the sandhill smack dab between Piapot and Tompkins.

You probably knew the Birchams at Piapot did you? Maybe Ken Wright?

I don't know that Coaldale area very well but have hauled cattle through there going to Keelers feedlot at Raymond.

Looks like you have a nice covering of snow.

I show my son the pictures of you feeding. Are you using Big Squares?

Welcome little bow, like your team, why a wagon and not a sled? waiting for the day when we can wrap the reins like that to feed with ours!

:) Welcome! Pretty area of Alta. your living in! Love your pics and thx a bunch for posting them. When we fed with a team we used a hay wagon too not a sleigh, miss the feeding that way the very most!Progress...ya right..... :?

Thanks all for your replys. For those who may not have caught my notes with the pics, I am little bows wife and you all can call me D'.

Yanuck: We wish we could use the sleigh but we just don't have enough snow for good sledding. We only have had one yr when we where in SK that we could do that and that was the yr little bow (the boss) was in Airdrie running a welding shop for a friend and I got all the sleighing, I fed the bulls and grained the calves while my dad fed the cows. We only fed the cows once with the horses and that was every other day. (to many trips to feed cows). As for tying the lines we started when we where graining calves in a pen and went along the the bunks, that way they can't go to far and just check em when needed.

Mrs. Greg: I remember hearing that you used a team. We do use a bale processor, it is mainly for our poor feed which we had to much of this year and we use it every other day right now. Progress is not always bad. You have to find that happy medium where they both complement each other.

I will try and post a few pics from SK that you all might enjoy as well as some from here!javascript:emoticon('')
