I have never been good at sticking to the resolutions I have made in the past....maybe my expectations were too high...you know.....lose 50 pounds, hire George Straight as my new gardener/masseuse/butler/cook, keep a spotless house, finish my degree!! Well, this year, I hope to change things...had alot of changes in my life lately that have me thinking that some things just HAVE to change!! First of all, myself! Getting older and realizing that I now HAVE to take better care of my health...will start by losing the excess weight...about 35 pounds will find me at the weight I was 12 years ago and will definitely help my health..ya know, with demodriver graduating in may and all, I want her to be as proud of me as I am of her!!!

How about the rest of you ranchers??? Anyone else plan on making (and hopefully STICKING TO) resolutions????

:D :D :D :D :D

My resolution is to get through another year with at least a semi great outlook on life....life hands a person things that make it a struggle, other then our faith in God,a good outlook is so important :)

About Goerge Straight,if your not going to use him,I think I could use a backrub

Let's see...... I should try to cut back on how much I'm smoking (ya, like that'll ever happen!), I'd like to lose 10 pounds (hopefully during calving season), and I'd like to be a nicer person than what I really am (ask some from around here, they could tell you I can be a real b****).

But I'm pretty sure I'll be saying the same things next year. :)

I really need to dump some pounds. I was doing good until the holidays, I am NOT gonna pass up on some of that food!!!

I always wanted to get back to 200 pounds....if I was tone fit and ripped, 225 would be an ideal weight for me, but the past few years, I have built way to big a shed over my tool.....

my other one would be taking more time away from work and spending on the kids.... just hard to shut off a baler or combine to go to a ball game.... I know which is more important, but I also know which one pays the bills....

jigs----you have done it again!! You are making the same resolutions that so many of us women wish our hubbys would make....."more time with family", "get my a$$ off the combine and come home", "lose a few pounds"!!!!!!!!! Best of luck to you!!! Sometimes it is easier to lose the weight than to climb off the baler!!!

Spend less time on Ranchers.net.

uhhhhhhhhhhhhh...........don't think so, JB!!! That would be punishing US!!! No fair!! No fair!!!!!!!!!!!!

Besides, I think "resolutions" are supposed to be things that you actually BELIEVE you can do!!!!

I want to focus more on reducing our labour spent on the cattle, to make more time for family, friends, and community events. Especially with our 3rd baby coming in February!

And, I'd really like to get our local boxing club going again. I miss that alot.

Laid in bed a good long time last night talking to my wife about this stuff. It was a good conversation for the most part and am working on it right now... For one I am getting all my darn records computerized and am going to stick to it this time. I have the darn software, why I dont use it... Don't ask. So far so good and will really like looking at it in December so I can see the cash eb and flow... Mostly flow out of the bank unfortunately   I figure I need to do it anyways so why not.. Talked about a lot goals for the family anf for the business, and were actually practical for once and hopefully we will be able to implement all or most of them...

I could stand to loose about 10 pounds..

Ranchwife,

Check your PM's :)

I started New Year's Eve, lose some weight, exercise (less intake and more output - calorie wise), work on weights that are upstairs waiting for someone to use them

To work a little harder with our local CattleWomen group, get it resurrected, work on getting the Bench Marking off the ground.
