The Sask. Hockey Association took away our AA Bantam team for next year. They reorganized AA hockey in the province and cut out teams in Meadow Lake, Nipawin, Unity and Parkland-supposedly the talent was too diluted throughout the province. That's kind of funny because there have been more players drafted in the Bantam draft out of our town than probably any where-recruitment is a problem because of our location but we send alot of players on. The main thing is we have no league for that age and tier of player-the closest Alberta league we are kind of dominant with our A team. Not sure if we'll have to follow the summer hockey model and just make a tournament team-there are kids that just like to play which is fine but the ones who want to go on to elite levels deserve a place to play also.
