I guess Ty and I are pulling out tomorrow for Calgary-I got a wisdom tooth pulled and it didn't go great so were fighting over the Motrin. I've always wanted to go to the Stampede but was never able too so I'm not sure whose more excited Ty or me. I hope he gets his horses covered and gets a little coin for Farmington. He thinks his knee will be good enough to comb a couple for eight lol.

Good luck to Ty in Calgary, and good luck with your wisdom teeth. Mine were taken out back in college days, and it was no fun then either. Tell Ty to hang on tight, and you keep a stiff upper lip.

I just checked the Calgary Stampede site. NR must not have access to the net behind the chutes. Ty covered his horse both days. Good on you Ty. :)

I just walked in the house from Calgary-it was aired on CBC Bold 641 on a Bell Dish-the camera work is good but Jim Van Horne and that arrogant ash Cody Snyder I can live without lol. It was my first trip to Calgary too and it was beyond my best expectations-it's going to be hard not to go back every year. When your behind the chutes and you look out at 20,000 people it gives you chills. Ty rode his first bareback horse and got a reride-they ran in an old legend Zorro Bandit for his reride-they won the 50,000 on that horse three times in years past. What a cool old bronc-he's built like a tank but nice in the chute. Ty said the first jump almost knocked him out but he went on with it and got him covered so Ty can pretty much die and go to heaven now-he won the round on him. On Monday he drew 'Near Miss' for his saddle bronc and did alright and won the round on him too. We camped with some chuckwagon friends so Ty had busy days-up exercising thoroughbreds at 5.00 then cooling them out after racing-one of them kicked him right on the elbow on his riding arm but he lived. It was such a thrill for the boys to get to hang out with all those world champions-I know Ty's Dad was pretty starstruck.

Sounds like a wonderful experience. Congratulations to Ty on his bronc riding success.

I just bought a book about Casey Tibbs that looks to be very interesting reading, with many historic pictures to boot. Maybe Ty is another Casey Tibbs in the making. :-)

Well he did as best he could so I'm fine with that. It was pretty interesting watching how the different pros prepare themselves. They were all pretty classy guys to talk to for sure. The horses that were out were incredible-even some of our weedy little Canadian bulls bucked off some PBR toughs.

Congrats on Calgary! Hope you have as good as time in Farmington as we had in Gallup for the National Junior High Rodeo. Our daughter competed in the Girl's Breakaway. Missed her first calf and was fairly long on her 2nd, but we all had a great time and what an experience for her. The rodeo people were all great as well as the people in Gallup.

I didn't get to see it,greg watched it though and said Ty did really well..... :D He also said he felt like pulling Cody snyder through the TV and givin him a piece of his mind..... Greg doesn't like the arrogant SOB either, and his commentary on Ty pisssed him right off.

Well Ty put alot more stock in what the pros in thje dressing room told him over some washed up old bull rider with a big mouth. I'd gladly let Snyder get on some of our practice horses and see how he does lol. I wish people would e-mail CBC and get him and that idiot Jim Van Horne run off. They do a good job of wrecking the best rodeo in the world.
