Well, I did It! I finally broke down under intense pressure and threats of bodily harm and took Mrs. H to town and saw True Grit tonight. Although she had to put a twitch on me to keep me from killing a couple of chatty knuckleheads in the theater, I did really enjoy the show. I really liked the cinematography and the acting was pretty good too. The gal who played Mattie Ross was great. Jeff Bridges was alright but talked like he bit his tongue off instead of the other guy. Matt Damon did pretty good in a western! I was happy we went and unless there is another western made sooner, i'll be ready to go again in 10 years or so. The last movie I saw before this one in a theater was Open Range. I'd recommend seeing it or for sure getting it on DVD when it comes out. John Wayne is still the king but this movie was pretty decent and I think he'd approve.
