Bill- I'm not against mandatory ID- Like Sandhusker, I was one of the R-CALF members that voted for it-- but at the same time I don't believe it is the miracle "cure all" as some advocate...To this day I have seen nothing that will work as good as hot brands for pasture, legal, and permanent identification.....I'm sure the time will come sometime when something is developed that will be as effective and cost efficient enough to use- but until then I see hot brands as being the tool of use.....
