Yes Jigs, I know Nebraska's non-con schedule isn't impressive in neither 09 and 10, but to have 2 FCS teams in one year? Give me a break  I guess this is Snyder's version of bold and daring

Snyder was up here trying to schedule our high school team. I guess he wasn't real crazy about playing an 8-man game, but we guaranteed him that we would sell 200 tickets so he went along. However, we couldn't ink a deal because we held out for a home/home deal and he wanted both games in Manhattan.

we have some pretty tough non con games in the future...

I trust Bill....he will put us back in the hunt. if a Umass and a La Tech is what it takes to beat NU, then by all rights, bring on the cupcakes !

What was Snyder's record against NU?

So I read that Snyder is trying to bail out of playing Miami. Bold and daring indeed. Oh wait, wrong coach

I could see Snyder wanting out of playing Miami if it was 15 years ago, but come on, Miami isn't exactly the Miami of old when Nebraska beat them on their home turf in January of 95 8)

do you seriously realize how bad KSU was? they were about to drop football. only the solid basketball teams of the 80's kept them from being booted out of the Big 8. they were beat by Austin Pea.

in 11 years Snyder took the worst football team in the nation to a Number ONE ranking, and if Bishop would have just fell to the ground, the 1998 title game would have been different. we were one fumble away from a shot at a national title.

rag on him all you want, his system works. I loved KSU in the dark years, and love them even more now. If Snyder sees no reason to play those games, then who am I to complain.
granted, I would like to see a more challenging team than some that he lines up, but is NU all that different?? in thepowerhouse days, you played Pacific in thier first year or two of DI ball.... and one year when Miami and NU were bitching about wanting to play, KU and another team offered to play each other, leaving the date open for NU /Miami but the big boys decided to not accept the offer... so go look at NU's history...it aint as pretty as you think.

plus, NU has that gay blow up doll as a mascot! Herbie Husker was a cool deal, now with this new thing, you ought to be ashamed

One fact Snyder must live with is his first half of the season will be playing players that are relearning everything. After a few games, the Cats will be much improved, but they'll be playing OU, UT, T Tech and trying to get well on MU, NU and Kansas. Its dishonest to criticize Snyder for trying to soften his schedule. Give Snyder 5 years (and he'll be older than dirt) and he must schedule 1 top 10 noncon or be criticized.

his talent was seeing the gems that other schools looked over. and turning kids into stars.
